Our garden of greens.
There are very few things than make me happier than to walk out my back door, into the garden, and return with bowl full of brilliant greens!
The lettuce, kale, and parsley are already filling our bowls, wintered over from last fall and flourishing amidst this crazy spring weather. Each night, I harvest a large bowl for our salad and by morning, the garden is full once again.
Not yet on our plates, but in place for later this summer: snap peas, carrots, beets, broccoli, yukon gold potatoes, tomatoes, strawberries and raspberries. This is going to be a very good year.
One of the best things about the garden, other than having a fabulous excuse to play in the dirt, is sharing the bounty with friends.
